The choir “Nelson Sound” began in 2004 in the lounge room of our home in Mt Nelson.  The group of 12 people formed after having completed a beginning choir course for non-singers through Adult Education with me.  Since then venues and faces have changed and Nelson Sound now rehearse in Hobart city and include around 30 men and women ranging in age from mid 20’s -mid 60’s.  The aim of Nelson Sound is to provide people with the opportunity to learn to sing in harmony (both accompanied and a cappella) in a fun and relaxed manner.  We try and perform twice a year and our repertoire ranges in style from popular through to musicals, jazz numbers and the occasional classical pieces.  We always welcome new members so feel free to contact me for further details.  Also, look out for our upcoming events.  We look forward to entertaining you all.
